A vision of America 'if I were president'
If I were president, I would stop the sale of foreign cars in America.
If I were president, I would enforce if you work in this country, you will pay federal income tax and pay your share into Social Security.
If I were president, there would be no need for interpreters. You will speak English. To coin a phrase, when in Rome, do as the Romans do.
If I were president, industry would not farm out labor to other countries.
If I were president, we would import only what we cannot produce ourselves.
If I were president, aid would start here, then to other countries.
If I were president, I would work day and night to alleviate our oil problem.
What I have outlined should be the wishes of every adult American.
"Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for America."
Two last statements.
If I were president, I would have to triple my bodyguards.
If I were president, I would get a large life insurance policy because many of my fellow Americans would be very angry at me for trying to build America instead of their bank accounts.
