GOP trying to take focus off economy
The McCain/Palin ticket is once again trying to compensate for a lack of ideas with more fear mongering. Over the weekend, Sarah Palin stated that Senator Obama was "palling around with terrorists" despite the fact that this story was refuted by an Associated Press investigation. This nonsense is an admitted effort by the McCain ticket to try to change the subject from the worst financial crisis in 70 years that has exposed their lack of ideas on finding its solution. With worldwide markets under increasing threat coupled with rising national unemployment, we need solutions and a vision for how we're going to fix our economy. Because John McCain represents a continuation of the failed Bush policies that led to this debacle, he lacks that vision so he has chosen instead to spread fear about Senator Obama. We as a country cannot afford to fall for this illusion of fear if we hope to recover our economy and, by extension, our country.
