When free isn't free; end deceitfulness
I would like to disclose a pet peeve of mine regarding the one item advertising on TV. They make the one item, i.e., $19.95 plus shipping and handling or processing in handling (not always shown) in extremely small letters with no total.
In some cases they show triple the offer, just pay shipping and handling. I would like to see truth in advertising and would like to see a law that spells everything out as follows: item - $19.99; shipping and handling - $6.99; free item, shipping and handling - $6.99; all printed the same size); with a total so it stands out.
I know why they do what they are doing; however, from a customer's standpoint I'm tired of their deceitfulness.
