Elgin Theatre to host sneak-peek party

The Elgin Theatre Company will be hosting its first "Sneak Preview party" from 7 to 10 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19 at Villa Verdone, 13 Douglas Ave. in downtown Elgin.

For $25 per person, guests will dine on an all-you-can-eat special appetizer buffet created by Villa Verone's own chef, and be entertained by previews of the theater's upcoming productions of "Rowan and Martin's Laugh In" and the best of Old Tyme Radio, "A Comedy Spectacular 2."

Participants can add to the fun by entering the Goldie Hawn look-alike contest. The winner will receive a cash prize of $50, a chance to appear in a scene of ETC's production of "Rowan and Martin's Laugh In," if the winner desires, and be featured in the playbill. "Here come de Judge."

This gala event is open to the public. In addition, past and present patrons and cast members from all of the Elgin Theatre Company's 57 seasons are encouraged to attend.
