'Stimulus' deal good for pols, not people

The stimulus "package" is just floating with pork fat that the Democratic legislature could not pass over the last two years.

Please consider the word STIMULUS, items that happen now, not later. What do programs for smoking, immigration and such have to do with stimulating the economy?

I know you people in Washington are very arrogant, thinking you know what's good for us. We're the ones who have to shoulder the burden of your bad decisions. We U.S. citizens are taxed out. How do you plan to pay for this?

I am an honest taxpaying person (unlike Mr. Geithner) who runs a household. There's no way that I would even consider buying a pool when I needed the roof fixed. You're not little kids writing a list for Santa. You keep adding and adding. You're going to spend us into the poor house.

Let the automakers go bankrupt - they dug their own hole with their complacency. Why don't you check out why Honda, Toyota and others are solvent? They are manufactured in the USA. The automakers in Detroit never bothered to look at the writing on the wall, they were so arrogant in their thinking that they could sell anything.

This is capitalism, the strongest survive, there will always be someone to take their place. This is called progress, building a better mouse trap, without failures there are no successes. How do you think the USA has progressed? It isn't because the government has bailed out every Tom, Dick and Harry. It's because of our FREEDOM to make good or bad decisions and then taking the responsibility for them. Not throwing money at a problem, putting good money after bad. That's just being a pinhead!

So why can't you see this? The bottom line is you want the votes, you really don't care about the taxpayers or consequences for generations to come.
