Change to compressed natural gas is a must

I have not had the chance to read the 1,000-plus pages of the stimulus bill passed by Congress, so I don't know how the money will be spent. I don't know all the projects that are included in the bill, but there is one project that must be included: Building the infrastructure that will allow us to convert most if not all of our vehicles over to compressed natural gas as soon as possible. CNG is cheaper and less polluting than gasoline.

Every year we send hundreds of billions of dollars overseas to countries who hate us, yet we continue to stay addicted to foreign oil. Iran is in the process of converting all their vehicles to CNG, so they can sell all their oil to the suckers in the West.

As T. Boone Pickens has pointed out, we have enough natural gas in our country to satisfy our needs for many decades to come. Now is the time for real change.

Converting our vehicles to CNG would provide jobs, break the oil addiction, would be cheaper for consumers, less polluting, and have a positive impact on our foreign policy. It would be money well spent.
