Peace will help stimulate economy

There is no shortage of opinions about how to stimulate our floundering economy. We citizen taxpayers now own the largest banks in the nation. Hence, if the dividends that these banks produce were distributed to the owners, the stimulus question could be answered in one act. How long before we can look forward to dividend checks in the mail?

The new administration and the news media seem to see the U.S. as getting deeper and deeper into the war in Afghanistan. Has no one learned a lesson from our previous wars? War will likely be our downfall because we can't stimulate the economy while throwing millions upon millions away at any war. Let's give peace a chance.
