Brazilian star Cristiane to lead soccer skills camp

Girls ages 9 and older have one month left to sign up for Cristiane's soccer clinic on July 11-12 in Tinley Park.

The two-day clinic will be led by Cristiane, a soccer star dubbed by FIFA as the Third Best Player in the World for the last two years in a row.

The two-time Olympic Silver medalist, who now plays for the Chicago Red Stars, was the leading goal scorer in the 2004 and 2008 Olympics with 5 goals.

The clinic will feature Brazilian Footskills, 1 vs. 1 play, and scoring skills. All skill levels are welcome, but participants should contact camp director Kate Westfall at kwestfall@chicagoredstars.com or by phone at 708-496-9511.

The camp will be held at Howe Fields from 10 a.m. to noon on both days. The cost is $95.
