The empty promises of "change"

For residents who live in DuPage County and have suggested that we get more Democratic Party representation, I have a question for them. Do we want DuPage County to become another Cook County?

With the many cabinet appointments made by our newly elected President Obama, he has admitted that he "screwed up" (his own words) on Tom Daschle. Is he only one of the many appointees or would-be appointees that carry known "ethical baggage?"

How about Richardson, Holder, Clinton, Paneta, Napolitano, Geither and Craig, to name a few who would not meet President Obama's campaign promises of ethical standards?

Those of us who are aware of the promises made and the end results of this election realize how empty the promises of "change" were and proved by the appointment of the same old-same old 'politicians' to raise our hopes for real change.

With 30 percent to 40 percent of the nation opposed to the stimulus bill, most Americans are waking up to reality. This is not the time for "fun and games."
