Man with butcher knife robs Waukegan Holiday Inn

Waukegan police are looking for a man who robbed a clerk at the Holiday Inn on Lakehurst Road on Tuesday. Wearing a ski mask and flashing a butcher knife, the robber demanded money from the clerk at about 9:45 p.m. He fled the scene after hopping in the passenger side of a black four-door Chevy Cavalier. Police say he is white with a thick goatee, and was wearing a white hoodie, aqua green pants and white shoes. Anyone with tips can call the Waukegan Police Department at (847) 599-2608
