On the 'Road' again

"Mad Max" came out of the outback as an independent film so thickly Australian it almost required subtitles. The sequel "The Road Warrior" is what truly made George Miller's fast-paced storytelling a worldwide phenomenon - and Mel Gibson a global star. It's at 8:40 p.m. today on Encore.

Mel Gibson is "The Road Warrior."
