3-car crash in Deer Park sends two to hospital
A three-car crash on Lake-Cook Road in Deer Park Friday afternoon sent two people to the hospital.
The chain-reaction collision occurred at 1:51 p.m. on westbound Lake-Cook Road just east of the intersection of Ela Road. A car struck the back of the vehicle in front of it, which then struck the vehicle in front of it.
Barrington Assistant Fire Chief Christian Toussaint described the injuries as relatively minor. There were six other people among the three vehicles who refused treatment at the scene.
The two injured adults were transported to Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital near Lake Barrington.
The crash briefly affected traffic near the intersection, but was quickly cleared up, Toussaint said.
Kildeer police, who also patrol Deer Park under contract from the village, are investigating the collision.
