Man dies in Des Plaines wreck

A 52-year-old man was pronounced dead after his car drove off the road Sunday morning on the 800 block of Touhy Avenue in Des Plaines, police said.

The Cook County medical examiner's office identified the victim as Carmelo Manzanilla, of the 6300 block of West Touhy, Niles.

Police said the man's Ford minivan was traveling eastbound on Touhy before crossing the road and coming to rest in front of a bush.
