• Vandals turned on the freshwater supply line and pumps to a private swimming pool on the 28300 block of Heritage Trail on an unknown date but reported Jan. 6; the pipes sustained about $2,000 damage in the subfreezing temperatures.

Lake Barrington

• Burglars stole a tennis racket, sunglasses, GPS unit, keys, MP3 player and picture of the victim's daughter out of a 2004 Hyundai SUV on the 500 block of Old Barn Road between Dec. 28-30. There was no sign of forced entry; the loss was estimated at $720.
