Deputies: Woman drunk when she ran over husband

GODFREY -- Authorities in southwestern Illinois say a night out ended badly for a couple when the husband drove their SUV into a vacant home's porch, then was run over by his wife.

Madison County prosecutors charged 43-year-old Angela Carver of Godfrey with aggravated driving under the influence.

Investigators say the Carvers were headed home late Sunday when the GMC Yukon driven by Jeffrey Carver left the highway and hit a porch. After Carver got out of the SUV, his wife apparently backed over him.

Jeffrey Carver was taken to a hospital. His condition wasn't immediately available.

Angela Carver is free on $10,000 bond. The Carvers don't have a listed home telephone number.
