Toy recall should come as no surprise
So why is Mattel so surprised and embarrassed when they announce a recall of 9 million of their toys when Fisher-Price did so two weeks ago? Surely they talk with each other about the China Syndrome: No oversight on anything they produce (including toothpaste).
Mattel executive weakly apologized Tuesday morning on CNN, explaining that some items are randomly inspected after they reach the United States.
Have they lost their minds? In China, one of the toy manufacturer CEOs shot himself last week, apparently to balance the psychic shame.
