Briefs: AdvanSoft buys financial software

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS -- Software firm AdvanSoft International Inc. said Tuesday it entered into a licensing agreement with the University of Kansas for online technology that accesses and analyzes the financial reports of publicly traded companies. FRAANK was developed at University of Kansas. The software can be programmed to prepare risk assessment models, credit worthiness reports and other documents based on public records. End users include financial and credit analysts.

Dairy council allies with Hispanic group

ROSEMONT -- The National Hispanic Medical Association and the National Dairy Council announced a educational partnership to reinforce a nutrient package of low-fat and fat-free dairy products. The Dairy Council is based in Rosemont.
