Batavia

• A burglar broke in through a window and stole a car stereo, it was reported at 6:35 a.m. Sept. 3 in the 1300 block of East Wilson Street, according to a police report.

• Siding was damaged on a house in the 200 block of Church Street, it was reported at 5:12 p.m. Tuesday, police said.

Geneva

• The windshield and rear driver's-side window of a Buick Century were shattered by a club around 3:45 a.m. Tuesday in the 1500 block of Sherman Avenue, according to police.

Kane County

• A 2004 John Deere farm tractor valued at $4,100 was reported stolen Monday from a yard on the 42W700 block of Hummingbird Street, Plato Township, according to a police report.

• About $10,600 in jewelry was reported stolen Monday from a residence on the 9S900 block of Lyndale Road, Sugar Grove Township, according to a police report.
