Sales brisk at Plaza townhouses
Twenty percent of the Plaza on New York condominiums sold out in two days at the recent grand opening. The event built on the success of the Plaza townhouses, one of the fastest selling communities in the Chicago area.
Versatile floor plans drew the attention of young professionals sharing space, penthouses caught the attention of empty nesters looking to simplify without compromise, and everyone liked the maintenance-free convenience.
Another reason this community is selling so quickly is the prime location -- near the northwest corner of Aurora's New York Street and Route 59, across from the Westfield Fox Valley shopping mall and next to the Route 59 Metra station.
A full-size building model, as well as a fully furnished model, are available for viewing.
Monthly assessments cover heat, water, sewer, garbage pickup, common area assessments, insurance, and use of all common areas -- including a fitness room, which includes treadmills, elliptical trainers and weight machines.
The Plaza condos have many on-site amenities, and flexible floor plans with options such as dual master suites and dens.
For example, penthouses come with 10-foot ceilings, custom windows, and can be individualized with a number of custom options.
Building amenities include:
• A Wall Street Center fully equipped with conference room amenities.
• The Manhattan Room, great for parties, special events or an informal gathering. This room includes a kitchen and bar for catering or serving, a fireplace, living room seating and a large-screen TV.
• A movie room with theater-style seating, a theater-quality sound system, and a projection TV.
• The Plaza Terrace, the perfect spot for indoor and outdoor dining or just relaxing with friends and family.
The Plaza condos, priced from the $190,000s, feature a square footage range of 1,017 to 1,630, and floor plans that range from one bedroom and one bath; to two bedrooms, a bonus den and two baths.
Kitchens amenities include 42-inch maple cabinets, granite countertops, pantries, and either a breakfast bar or an island.
Each condo comes with one storage space, which is conveniently located on the same floor as the residence. Additional storage spaces are available.
Eventually the first floor corners of these five-story buildings will include retail shops.
The Plaza is part of the Station Boulevard venture located between the Westfield Fox Valley Mall and the Route 59 Metra station. Adding to the convenience is a trolley system that will take residents to local venues. The project is an eight-minute or less drive from schools, grocery stores, a new Rush/Copley Medical Center, a movie theater and a number of restaurants.
