The Jonas Brothers bring their 2009 world tour to the Allstate Arena this weekend, and if you didn't know that already, well, you clearly haven't been hanging around any preteenagers lately. "American Idol" winner Jordin Sparks and Honor Society open. Amazingly, tickets were still available earlier this week.

The Jonas Brothers 2009 World Tour plays at 7:30 p.m. today and Saturday, July 10 and 11, at the Allstate Arena, 6920 N. Mannheim Road, Rosemont. Tickets range from $29.50 to $89.50 and are available at the box office or by calling (800) 745-3000.

Jon Langford, best known for his work with the Mekons, does not one but two shows in Evanston over the next week. He performs along with Paul Burch at S.P.A.C.E. on Saturday, then returns with the Waco Brothers for an outdoor show at James Park as part of the Starlight Concert series Thursday.

The inimitable Tom Jones comes to Ravinia this weekend. Whether you consider him high camp or the very definition of "sexy," there's no denying the man puts on quite a show. The only question is whether anyone will be able to reach the stage from the lawn tossing a pair of panties.
