Paramount classic collection worth a look

"Paramount's Classic Film Centennial Collection"

Fans of classic films will love this great collection. Paramount Studios has selected some of the most treasured films from their 100-year history, and each one has been digitally remastered for the finest video and audio quality.

The latest release features two of Audrey Hepburn's finest films:

• "Funny Face" - Audrey Hepburn stars with Fred Astaire in George and Ira Gershwin's musical. The two-disc set includes an eight-page memorabilia booklet, featurettes, documentary, theatrical trailer, photo galleries and more.

• "Breakfast at Tiffany's" - Audrey Hepburn stars with George Peppard in this entertaining film in which she tries to find love in New York City. The film was nominated for five Oscars, including Best Actress, and won for Best Song ("Moon River") and Best Score. The two-disc set includes an eight-page memorabilia booklet, featurettes, documentary, theatrical trailer, photo galleries and more.

Also available in the collection: "Roman Holiday," "Sabrina" and "Sunset Boulevard."

"Make 'Em Laugh: The Funny Business of America"

Billy Crystal hosts this terrific program that explores the evolution of comedy in America.

The six-hour series is presented on three DVDs. The programs explore what has made us laugh over the last 100 years. Many artists and comedians explain the diversity of American humor. Crystal introduces the episodes while Amy Sedaris narrates.

Each episode focuses on satire to stand-up and slapstick to sitcoms. Featured comedians include Jack Benny, Charlie Chaplin, Phyllis Diller, Jerry Seinfeld, George Carlin, Carol Burnett, Lucille Ball, Sid Caesar, Richard Pryor, Andy Kaufman, Bill Cosby, Chris Rock, Bill Maher and many more.

"An American Girl: Chrissa Stands Strong"

Young girls have been collecting American Girl dolls and accessories for many years. The dolls are based on characters from various periods of American history. For the first time, American Girl fans cannot only get a new doll and book, but a new DVD featuring the 2009 Girl of the Year, Chrissa.

Parents will love the story and the message. Chrissa (Sammi Hanratty) moves from Iowa to a new school midyear. She has a hard time fitting in and is bullied by a group of girls.
