Aurora man identified as victim in crash with Batavia school bus
Batavia police have identified a man killed in a head-on crash Tuesday with a school bus.
The man was 33-year-old Adam D. Knisley of Aurora.
Police on Wednesday did not release any more information about the cause of the crash, which happened on Hart Road near Papermill Hill Drive.
Knisley was driving a two-door coupe south on Hart Road, crossed the centerline of the two-lane road and hit the bus, which had 39 Rotolo Middle School students on board.
One student sustained minor injuries, according to the police.
Knisley was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy was performed Wednesday.
According to an obituary, Knisley was a 2006 graduate of Aurora Central Catholic High School. He was an avid fisherman.
He is survived by his parents, David and Kimberly Knisley; brothers Kevin and Scott; his maternal grandparents; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
