Two novel ideas for that Senate seat
Just an opinion, when we get rid of Gov. Blagojevich once and for all, we should do one of two things to select a new Senator from Illinois. We can:
Appoint former Governor, Jim Edgar. Yes, I know he is a Republican, but he is also the politician in Illinois with the highest level of ethics, also, I don't think he will seek an additional term, when this one is finished. Or, have the acting governor appoint four candidates, two Republican and two Democrat, and have the General Assembly vote for them. The one with the most votes becomes our next Senator.
