Palatine bank robbed; police asking for information

A Palatine bank was robbed after authorities say a man displayed a gun and handed a teller a note demanding money.

The armed robbery occurred around 7 p.m. Monday at the TCF Bank at 1589 N. Rand Road.

Authorities are looking for a white man, approximately 5-foot-9 tall and weighing 140 pounds. He was wearing a black windbreaker with white stripes down the arms, a gray hooded sweatshirt, gray pants and a black hat.

He left with an undisclosed amount of cash.
