Candidate clearly respects veterans

In reply to Mr. Morris' campaign supporter, Mr. Szempruch, who falsely implies in a recent letter to the editor that somehow I would even think of personally attacking anyone in this campaign for Congress and that "he (Mr. Szempruch) does not know my issues": It is obvious they have not followed my campaign nor logged onto my Web site at www.ArnoldforCongress.com.

Within this Web site's blog and elsewhere, I express profound respect for the sacrifices of all veterans and their families -- even mentioning Mr. Morris' loss as well. What Mr. Szempruch is, understandably, not aware of in his unfair attack is that I am the son of a Disabled American Veteran. My father served almost eight years in the submarine service in the 1930s and was discharged with a back injury.

Needless to say, I have no boyhood memories of my father playing baseball or football with me -- for he could not.

candidate U.S. Congress
