Curran deserves support, not ridicule

I have been saddened to read the negative remarks about Lake County Sheriff Mark Curran since he switched parties from Democrat to Republican.

I was present at his news conference, meeting him for the first time. This is an amazing young man, both humble and courageous. He sincerely described his change of affiliation as one of conscience. He could no longer be a Democrat if he is against widespread corruption in politics. Mark is pro-life, pro-family, pro-America.

Voters in Lake County are fortunate to have Mark holding public office. We need to rally around him and support him as he works to protect us.
