Daley on Blago: He's 'cuckoo'

Chicago Mayor Richard Daley says the disgraced governor of Illinois is "cuckoo."

The powerful mayor was asked at a Friday news conference what he thinks about fellow Democrat Gov. Rod Blagojevich claiming he could be thrown out of office as part of a plot to increase taxes.

Daley responded by imitating a cuckoo clock.

He noted that he has called Blagojevich "cuckoo" once before.

The earlier comment came in September, when Blagojevich questioned financial statements by the head of the Chicago Transit Authority.

Blagojevich faces federal corruption charges and an impeachment trial next week that could remove him from office.
