Lime and AFS join, help environment

ELK GROVE VILLAGE -- Lime Energy, an energy-efficiency technology and engineering company, Monday announced the completion of an interior, energy-efficient lighting system upgrade for Associated Food Stores' (AFS) distribution center in Farr West, Utah. The project, valued to Lime at approximately $725,000, will save AFS approximately $310,000 annually in energy savings. AFS is an independent retailer-owned warehouse based in Salt Lake City, Utah, which provides complete warehouse facilities and services to nearly 500 grocers.

U.S. Marine Corps order more MRAPs

WARRENVILLE -- Navistar International Corp. recently said its military subsidiary, International Military and Government LLC, has received an order from the U.S. Marine Corps for 755 additional Category I Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicles, valued at approximately $414 million to be delivered by the end of February 2008. This brings International's total orders to 1,971 MRAP's, totaling over $1.045 billion.
