Thanks for primary turnout, Glen Ellyn

We wish to thank the residents of Glen Ellyn who recently participated in the biannual town meeting and voted in the Civic Betterment Party Primary. We are honored and humbled by your support and our selection.

We also wish to acknowledge the other candidates for Trustee - Robert Friedberg, Diane McGinley, Joseph Salmunovich and Chris Wilson. Each is deeply committed to the village and would have made a wonderful trustee. We count on their continued involvement as we work together to strengthen and improve the village. Likewise, we need to thank the Civic Betterment Party - especially outgoing President Dean Clark and Alex Demos, who coordinated the nomination process - for their extraordinary and tireless work in conducting the election. They can take justifiable pride in the record-breaking turnout at our unique Town Meeting this past weekend.

Each of us mentioned the importance of public participation in our campaigns. Now that the election has ended, we want to reiterate how crucial the community's involvement is to the village. We hope that you will continue to reach out to us to share your ideas and concerns, and that you will feel welcome to participate in all aspects of our community government. The community will benefit from everyone's good will and commitment to meet the challenges and opportunities over the next few years. Peter Cooper
