New school among Southbury's amenities
Buyers with elementary school-aged children can live within a block of a brand new elementary school in Oswego School District 308 when purchasing an Orleans home in Spring Gate at Southbury's final phase.
The neighborhood of upscale single-family homes in the master-planned pool and clubhouse community of Spring Gate is now in its final phase, with 80 percent of the 202 homes already sold. All of the floor plans are still available to be built on the desirable home sites near the school, and three homes are under construction with delivery dates in the first quarter of 2008. Base prices range from $319,990 to $385,990 for homes that include partial basements and two- and three-car garages. Four model homes are open for viewing.
Three pools are among the most popular recreational facilities, and include an adult pool and hot tub spa, lap pool and children's pool. A 7,600-square-foot Clubhouse, with a New England flavor, includes a great hall with large screen television, fireplace and a conversation area with grand piano, craft and hobby room, multi-media screening room, library, exercise room and aerobics studio, locker rooms, sitting porch and concession area.
The Spring Gate homes, feature eight designs ranging from 2,713 to 3,888 square feet. The homes include three to six bedrooms, up to four full baths, partial basements and two- or three-car garages. "Buyers who would like to move in the first quarter of 2008 can choose from three floor plans that are now under construction, including two new designs, the Millstone, with 2,713 square feet, base-priced from $319,990 and the Aspen, with 2,923 square feet, base-priced from $329,990," Kruse said. "The third home is our largest plan, the 3,888-square-foot Winchester, priced from $371,990. The homes for early delivery will include deluxe special features, and will be offered at attractive prices."
The Aspen design features a classic traditional floor plan, with the living room on one side of the two-story foyer and the dining room on the other. To the rear of the home is an expansive informal living area, including an activity-sized family room, breakfast nook with sliding glass doors to the yard and kitchen with island/breakfast bar and pantry.
Located adjacent to the kitchen is a private area that includes a study, full bath and second staircase as well as access to the garage.
The second floor is highlighted by a bedroom with double-door entry, optional coffered ceiling, his and hers walk-in closets and deluxe compartmented bath with soaking tub, separate shower and double-bowl vanity. Three other bedrooms are served by a hall bath with double-bowl vanity. In addition, the Aspen features a second-floor laundry and a bonus room that can function as a popular second-floor family room. A large optional storage room is also available.
