Need light sequence fixed at intersection

I've written a few letters to Fencepost over the last couple of years, and most of you must be thinking "Dude, find something else to do!"

But this has been bothersome over the last 30+ years.

Is it IDOT's responsibility or Wheeling's to have light sequences changed? The reason I ask is, why can't we change the light change sequence to reflect more of a Palatine Road situation at Schoenbeck and Dundee roads?

In that case, the lights run at a 4-way stop sequence. At Schoenbeck and Dundee, we could change it to a 3-way configuration: Schoenbeck, heading north, would have a green light, then St. Armand heading south. Then Dundee Road would have its normal sequence heading east and west.

This would make the intersection safer than it is, because it seems a lot of people forget their automobiles have turn signals, and don't use them, and we get newcomers who are baffled by the lane and lighting configuration and cause more confusion and delay.

Furthermore, it should not cost the village or state any money to change this, as we already have the equipment there, and it just needs changing.
