Football Preview: Bartlett at Glenbard North

Last year: Glenbard North 36, Bartlett 28.

Outlook: This rivalry continues for a ninth straight year with Bartlett still looking for its first win. Tonight's game won't be any easier with a young roster featuring a class of 45 juniors that went 7-2 at the sophomore level despite having a handful of players up on varsity. Glenbard North unveils 6-foot-6 junior quarterback Evan Watkins, a three-sport standout. The running game is traditionally the focal point for Glenbard North, but Watkins will expand the options this season. Only three starters return defensively, including two-way players Matt Ng and Justin Wahrman in the secondary. With state-ranked Crystal Lake South looming next week, this game is critical for the Panthers.
