Bartlett man faces felony hit-and-run charges

A Bartlett man faces a felony charge of driving under the influence of alcohol, a felony charge of driving while license revoked and several misdemeanor charges after, authorities allege, he drove into a mobile home and then left the scene.

Brian H. Baxter, 42, of the 100 block of 8th Avenue, drove his sport utility vehicle into the mobile home on 9th Avenue early Friday evening, police said.

Baxter drove away, but was stopped by police a short distance from the scene. The accident caused minor damage to the home, police said.

Baxter awaits a court date at the Cook County courthouse in Rolling Meadows.
