Brothers have 25 years in healing professions
Dr. Robert Gerowitz and Dr. Donald Garrett share a lot more in common than a kinship. The brothers have practices just a couple blocks from each other in Palatine. They're committed to serving the deaf and blind community. And both are celebrating 25 years in health care.
The doctors, who learned to sign when they launched their practices, are marking the anniversary with a series of free events open to the public.
Garrett, a chiropractor and Fremd High School swim team physician, will provide all services at no charge from Monday, Feb. 9, to Thursday, Feb. 12. Current and prospective new patients alike may be X-rayed and receive treatment.

Gerowitz, an optometrist and 23-year Palatine resident, will host an eyeglasses fashion show on Saturday, Feb. 7. He's also putting on an orthokeratology seminar at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, followed by free screenings for this nonsurgical, noninvasive vision correction procedure.
