Emmons School fundraiser:

The Emmons School PTO Annual Auction and Golf Outing is Friday, May 1, at the Antioch Golf Club, 40150 N. Route 59. The silent auction tables open at 5:30 p.m. and the live auction begins at 7 p.m. Live auction items include Cubs tickets, a two-night ski lodge vacation, an autographed picture of the Jonas Brothers, a Ravinia concert package, patio furniture and much more. Proceeds will be used for upgrades to the kitchen and science labs and to buy new printers for the computer lab. Call PTO Vice President Kim England at (847) 838-2533 for details.

Spring concert in Lake Zurich:

The Village Singers will perform two spring shows, May 2 at 7 p.m. and May 3 at 1:30 p.m. The concerts will be held at the Alpine Chapel, 23153 W. Miller Road, Lake Zurich. The group sings hits such as "The Latest Rag" from "Titanic," "Everything's Coming Up Roses" from "Gypsy" and a tribute to "Jersey Boys." Fifth Third Bank food drive:

Fifth Third Bank's "Fill the Pantry" program, a food drive aimed at providing at least 53,000 meals to the hungry throughout the Chicago area, is still in need of donations. More than 200 food collection boxes have been setup at banks in the Chicago area including Lake County. The food drive will end on Sunday, May 3. Residents are invited to take part to help Fifth Third reach its collection goal. Bags are being given to all customers interested in joining the effort. All food collected will be divided among the Greater Chicago Food Depository, the Northern Illinois Food Bank and the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana.
