2 Illini players in Senior Bowl

CHAMPAIGN - Illinois offensive tackle Xavier Fulton and defensive end Will Davis will participate in the 2009 Senior Bowl all-star game on Jan. 24, in Mobile, Ala.

Both players will compete for the North team, which will coached by Marvin Lewis and the Cincinnati Bengals' staff. Game time is set for 6 p.m. and will be televised on the NFL Network.

The Senior Bowl features some of the country's best senior collegiate football players and top NFL draft prospects on teams representing the North and South that are coached by the entire coaching staffs of two National Football League teams.

Fulton was a two-time second-team All-Big Ten selection on the offensive line in his only two seasons at the position. Davis was a three-year starter at defensive end and finished his career seventh on the Illinois all-time quarterback sack list.
