Lester Coney, Chicago
Lester Coney will be bringing his daughter to experience history firsthand.
Coney, 50, of Chicago, said he is a personal friend of Barack Obama.
He's also executive vice president in the office of the chairman at Chicago-based Mesirow Financial and former chairman of the Goodman Theatre. He also is a trustee to the convention and raised about $300,000 for Obama.
Coney will attend with his daughter Chanel Coney, a senior at Princeton University.
"I want to take my daughter to see history being made," he said.
Their plans include a concert on Saturday, a brunch at the Lincoln Memorial on Sunday, and the Oprah Show and a dinner on Monday. Today, they will be at the swearing-in ceremony, parade and the black-tie ball.
