Have non-smokers thought about grill?

There have been multiple letters from non-smokers essentially gloating about the fact Illinois is now smoke free.

They can take their children anywhere they please, and not worry about all that harmful smoke anymore.

I find it interesting these same people will rave about how flavorful something cooked on a barbecue is.

They cheerfully hand their children a burger or hot dog that sat on a grill in smoke and collected smoke residue on its surface and proclaim it good.

The trace amount of smoke in the air remains in your body only the few seconds it takes to exhale. The residue on the food you eat remains the 24 to 36 hours it takes to digest. I wonder which is more harmful?
