Regen Tour featuring Berlin, Wang Chung coming to Rosemont

It's time for '80s nostalgia at the Rosemont Theatre this weekend, when the Regeneration Tour checks in with ABC, Berlin, Wang Chung, Heaven 17 and Cutting Crew. Everybody Wang Chung tonight!

Groovy Feelies

More '80s nostalgia strikes at Millennium Park next week when the reformed Feelies play. Yet the Feelies had a timeless guitar-driven groove, best displayed on their masterpiece, "The Good Earth," that should fill the Pritzker Pavilion with good vibes. Best of all, it's free.

The Feelies play with Icy Demons opening at 7:30 p.m. Monday, June 29, at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park at Randolph and Michigan in downtown Chicago. Admission is free.

Africa dances

Again back in the '80s, King Sunny Ade and his African Beats put on one of the hottest shows the city has ever seen at the last ChicagoFest on a beastly night on a parking-lot stage at Soldier Field. The African Beats have since scattered to the winds, but King Sunny brings a new incarnation of the band to Ravinia next week to open for Femi Kuti and the Positive Force, heirs to Fela Kuti's African jazz. This has the potential to be a great double bill, and Muntu Dance Theater of Chicago holds a couple of preshow dance lessons after doors open at 5 p.m. to get fans warmed up.
