United Stationers reports 2Q results
DEERFIELD -- United Stationers Inc. reported record second quarter 2007 net sales of $1.1 billion, up 2.7 percent from the second quarter of 2006. Net income for the second quarter of 2007 was $24.1 million, or $0.84 per share, compared with $41.4 million, or $1.29 per share, in the same period last year. The second quarter of 2006 included benefits from product content syndication/marketing changes and a gain on the sale of two distribution facilities. Excluding these items, second quarter 2007 earnings per share of $0.84 were up 20 percent, compared to last year's $0.70.
Gurnee Mills hosts fashion exhibit
GURNEE -- Gurnee Mills is hosting the 1st Annual Fall into Fashion Event, a fall fashion show and modeling competition, beginning at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 4,. Chicago area models will be debuting fall fashions from Jockey, Marshalls, VF Outlet, Banana Republic Factory Store, Shoe Carnival and Fancy Fakes, among others. Gurnee Mills is located in Gurnee on Grand Ave. off of I-94 and is managed by Simon Property Group Inc.
