Some victims of fatal Elgin-O'Hare crash ID'd

Illinois State Police have identified some of the people involved in a deadly crash Saturday evening on the Elgin-O'Hare Expressway.

State police Master Sgt. Michael Myhre said a minivan was traveling west when it lost control and left the roadway at about 6 p.m. Saturday. The van rolled over just east of Lake Street in Hanover Park. A 13-year-old boy was ejected through a window of the vehicle, which then landed on top of him, killing him.

The driver and three adult passengers were taken to St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates with what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The name of the boy has not been released.

The driver has been identified as Marissa Vega, 32, of the 2600 block of West Crystal Street, Chicago. Police said she is the mother of the boy who was killed.

The passengers have been identified as Nimia Vega, 61, of the 3200 block of West Wabansia Street, Chicago; Victor M. Vega, 33, of the 2600 block of West Crystal Street, Chicago; and Antonio Flores, 53, of the 3200 block of West Wabansia Street, Chicago.
