Clarification

To clarify an editorial published Monday, while U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin, U.S. Rep. Rahm Emanuel and U.S. Rep. Mark Kirk share the same general goal of reversing BP's plans to increase polluting discharges into Lake Michigan, Durbin and Emanuel have focused their efforts on a petition to that effect initiated and circulated by the Chicago Park District and city of Chicago -- not on a petition Kirk posted on his campaign Web site.
