Mark Guethle, North Aurora

Mark Guethle, chairman of the Kane County Democrats, scored two of the 198 inauguration tickets doled out to Congressman Bill Foster. Guethle said he knows President Obama on a first-name basis and the two share the same beliefs, such as job creation and retention in the United States and better health care.

"We're witnessing history - the first African-American to become president who is from Illinois," said Guethle, who also went to Grant Park in November. "For me to be there, personally knowing him, is a great honor. It's come full circle. We'll actually watch him make the transition from candidate to office holder of the President of the United States."
