Maine West falls in McDonald's Shootout

North Central, Ind. 55, Maine West 44: Junior guard Sam Acosta led Maine West with 20 points and 4 rebounds but the Warriors fell to North Central of Indianapolis 55-44 at the McDonald's Shootout Monday.

Senior guard Shaina Yalda (2 assists) and senior forward Kelsey Hargesheimer added 7 points for Maine West.

Megan O'Neill led the Warriors (12-9) with 9 rebounds while Ellen Coogan added 4.

The game was tied at 45-45 with four minutes left when North Central went on a 10-0 run to close out the game. It got two fastbreak layups, two steals and layups and 2 free throws.
