Anderson, NIU roll

DEKALB - Darion Anderson had 20 points, including three 3-pointers, and 7 rebounds to lead Northern Illinois to a 75-51 win over Toledo on Saturday.
NIU (5-8, 1-0 Mid-American Conference) led 41-20 at halftime.
Sean Smith had 16 points, Mike Dinunno 14 and Sean Kowal 11 for the Huskies, who shot 50.9 percent from the field.
Tyrone Kent led the Rockets with 19 points but made just 1 of his 11 attempted 3-pointers. Justin Anyijong had a game-high 9 rebounds for Toledo (2-13, 0-1). The Rockets shot 34.7 percent from the field.
NIU had a 37-27 rebounding advantage.
Toledo had 19 turnovers, which NIU turned into 19 points.
