Sara Lee conducts voluntary recall

DOWNERS GROVE - Sara Lee North American Foodservice is conducting a voluntary recall of Chef Pierre Chocolate Peanut Butter Silk Pie, a food service product. This voluntary recall is being conducted as a precautionary measure because the product contains peanut pieces subject to the expanded recall of products produced by Peanut Corporation of America's Blakely, Georgia facility. This PCA facility is the subject of an investigation by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration concerning a recent salmonella outbreak. No other Sara Lee Corporation products are involved in this recall. This product was sold and distributed nationally to food service companies and sold to consumers through Sara Lee outlet stores and other food service establishments.
