Woman admits having sex with 16-year-old boy
A Carol Stream woman began serving a 30-day stint in jail Thursday after she admitted having sex with a 16-year-old boy.
Annette Prisk, 46, also must register as a convicted sex offender and serve two years' probation. Prisk received the sentence after pleading guilty Thursday to aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a child.
Prosecutor Brian Perkins said Prisk originally thought the boy, whom she met through a mutual friend, was 17 when they began having sex in 2008. She later learned he was a minor, at 16, but had sex with him at least one more time Sept. 12, 2008.
"They had sex approximately six times," Perkins said. "The defendant knew that last time that he was 16, not 17 as he had previously told her, but she continued the sexual relationship, anyway."
Prisk, of the 1300 block of Spring Valley Drive, also pleaded guilty Thursday to misdemeanor battery for flicking a lit cigarette May 12, 2009, at a man during an argument. She received one-month court supervision. Lastly, she settled an unlawful use of a credit card allegation by surrendering nearly $600 of her bond to Charter One Bank.
DuPage Circuit Judge Peter J. Dockery presided over Thursday's plea agreement. The boy and his family did not participate in the court proceedings. Prisk otherwise did not have a criminal record.
