Woolf, Stinson lead Leyden

Mike Woolf and Brandon Stinson were a lethal combination for Leyden's boys basketball team in Wednesday's fifth-place game of the Lemont Christmas Classic.

Woolf and Stinson combined for 52 points, 12 3-pointers, 15 rebounds and 10 assists for Leyden (6-6) in a 68-52 victory over Westmont (7-6).

Woolf scored 31 points on 11-for-17 shooting from the field and 7-for-11 behind the arc. He also had 6 assists and 6 rebounds.

Stinson scored 21 points on 8-for-14 shooting from the floor and 5-for-9 behind the arc. He had a game-high 9 rebounds and 4 assists.

Eric Palmer had 8 rebounds and Patrick Listwan had 6 in Leyden's 36-28 advantage.
