Benet coach Peter Paul wins 500th game, defeating Nazareth 56-32

Benet girls basketball coach Peter Paul won his 500th game Friday night, as the Redwings beat Nazareth Academy 56-32.

Annie Doyle scored 12 points and Nikki Bell and Ashley Veselik added 8 apiece for Benet (9-8, 3-1 East Suburban Catholic), who grabbed a 15-2 lead in the first quarter that ballooned to 38-16 in the third quarter.

Paul has a 500-210 record in 24 years at Benet.
