Westell 3Q losses widen

AURORA - Westell Technologies Inc.'s third-quarter net loss was $4.1 million, or 6 cents per share, compared to a net loss of $2.5 million, or a loss of 4 cents per share, in the same quarter last year.

Revenue was $38.3 million, down 12 percent from the $43.7 million in the same quarter last year.

The company continued to ship UltraLine Series3 next generation gateways as part of its fiber-to-the-home offering but has deferred about $10.9 million the revenues and related costs as a result of accounting rules.
